In this 4 part training series we will discuss unconscious bias: what it is, how it impacts our world and our work, what we know about why it happens, and finally what can be done about it.
This training is for those of us who are trying to be good people, trying our best to treat everyone with fairness and respect, and acknowledging how difficult it is in real life to actually do that. Unconscious bias is not a topic for people who are explicitly bigoted and happy with that, it’s for those of us who are trying to align our values with our behaviors so that our work as waterkeepers isn’t damaged by hidden biases.
